Senior Front-End Developer

As a Software Engineer/Developer, you will collaborate with a small, tight knit team of innovative, coding thought leaders who set the strategy for our customer interface in an engaging and ethical way. You will also be working closely with the product and design teams of Priceline. Self-starters are encouraged to explore, fail fast, and build new things, and will be given opportunities to be developed and grow within the company.
In this role you will get to:
Drive development efforts for projects that impact the evolution of Priceline's business.
Be a senior influencer of a multi-functional team that experiments, iterates and delivers on new product objectives.
Mentor and lead best practices in the development of user experiences.
Showcase your fluency in Node.js which is at the forefront of what we use to build our customer-facing applications.
Design and develop systems supporting Hotel, Airline, Rental Car and Vacation Package businesses, that serve hundreds of millions of searches each day.
Leverage relationships and influence Product and Design team members on a modern technology stack grounded in Node.js, React and GraphQL.
Be a lead contributor to optimize our products for cross-device performance, including mobile, desktop, and tablets.
Who you are:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent.
5+ years of JavaScript along with experience working on consumer facing web projects.
Fluency in one or more client side JavaScript framework or library (React, Angular, Ember).
Proven expertise with Node.js and how it works and libraries like Express.js.
Confident ability and experience to develop and consume GraphQL APIs.
Proficiency with functional programming.
Illustrated history of living the values necessary to Priceline: Customer, Innovation, Team, Accountability and Trust.

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, certain roles may be eligible for an annual bonus and/or equity grant.
The salary range for this position is $120,000-140,000 CAD.

Flexible work at PricelinePriceline is following a hybrid working model, which includes two days onsite as determined by you and your manager (ideally selecting among Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday). On the remaining days, you can choose to be remote or in the office.
