You will be responsible for supporting the financial planning and analysis activities for our B2B business. Reporting to, and working closely with, the FP&A Director, you will play a key part in driving insights, providing analysis, and developing financial models to support decision-making processes. Forward-looking, creative and inquisitive; you will help to maintain, challenge and deliver our financial plan. You will be comfortable collaborating with teams across the business, applying your financial and analytical mind-set to help meet our growth targets.

What does a Senior FP&A Analyst do at Busuu?

  • Own the B2B P&L: Understand and explain the business drivers for each revenue and cost line, develop and implement strategies to optimize the B2B P&L, including revenue growth initiatives and cost management measures

  • Pricing: Partner with the sales team to create pricing strategies and proposals for clients, including creating tools to help standardise our pricing approach. Own the sign off process, including challenging sales team members to improve margins.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the B2B team to develop annual budgets and periodic forecasts, as well as the long term plan. Monitor performance against budget/forecast, identify variances, and provide explanations for differences.

  • Financial Modelling: Develop and maintain financial models to assess the impact of various scenarios on the B2B P&L. Provide decision support to senior management through scenario analysis and sensitivity testing.

  • Reporting: Prepare and distribute regular reports and presentations on B2B performance, highlighting key insights and trends. Present findings to senior leadership and provide actionable recommendations.

  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance B2B processes. Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains

  • Stakeholder Management: Be the point of contact for the B2B team c. 30 people, understanding their needs and challenges. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Ad-Hoc Analysis: Support ad-hoc analysis and projects as requested by senior management, providing accurate and timely financial information and insights.

  • Communication: Operate with a "no surprises" approach. Inform leadership of financial risks and opportunities early; seek deep understanding of new performance developments; and maintain constant flow of information with Business and Finance partners

  • Prioritisation: Balance critical finance deliverables with operational requests to meet all finance deadlines while supporting business partners.

What we’re looking for in a Senior FP&A Analyst at Busuu

  • Qualified finance professional CIMA/ACA/CFA (3+ years PQE) with analytical bias

  • 3 years experience in financial planning and analysis

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders

  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, with proficiency in Excel and Tableau

  • Data-driven and commercially minded, with excellent communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines while managing multiple projects

  • Naturally curious, with the ability to ask the right questions and challenge the status quo

  • Confidence to set own goals, ambitious and driven to push limits

  • A growth mindset, keen to learn and improve every day
