What you'll do:

As a Senior FP&A Analyst you will be part of the Finance team of ACT Group, working with an international product and client portfolio. This makes for a very diverse and challenging environment, which reflects in the job as well - this isn't the usual Analyst role. Because we are currently experiencing rapid growth in our scale-up phase, our departments are going through changes and process improvements as well as new software implementations and optimisations.

The Group Finance department comprises teams such as Financial Control and Accounting, Treasury, and FP&A. As the direct report to the FP&A Manager, your role will involve overseeing critical market sizing analysis, conducting forward book calculations, developing Power BI reports, constructing financial models, and preparing presentation materials. Collaborating closely with the FP&A Manager, Finance peers, and LOCs will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. In summary, your tasks will encompass:

  • Preparing and owning key Excel models on business performance and strategic outlook
  • Diving deep, analysing historical trade information and drawing conclusions, in coordination with the FP&A Manager
  • Conducting market size, market share and customer/competitor analysis for products and services
  • Pricing analysis in cooperation with Risk Department
  • Looking forward; preparing value-added insight and forecasting
  • Developing detailed reporting and analysis related to our forward book (for example, sensitivities), including building BI reporting
  • Analysing commercial opportunities and business cases
  • Preparing and coordinating presentation material for management and board level stakeholders

Who you are:

  • Masters degree in Accounting/Finance/Commerce or other relevant study;
  • CFA/RC qualification is an advantage
  • 4-5 years’ experience working within financial planning and analysis or strategy related roles within the FMCG industry, banking or management consulting;
  • Quantitative skills and mindset: Proven Advanced Excel (VBA, pivots, complex formulas), PowerPoint and Power BI skillset is required
  • Excellent knowledge and use of English (written and spoken);
  • Knowledge of, and interest in, European energy markets
  • Experienced in the use of business intelligence/planning tools and implementation, experience with Anaplan is a preference.
  • Skilled stakeholder manager, working well under pressure;
  • Self-starter mentality, good at working independently, focuses on commercial results;
  • High attention to details and ability to adapt to change.
