About the opportunity

Aequilibrium seeks experienced Canadian-based developers and integration consultants to support upcoming credit-union and financial-services opportunities involving Fiserv DNA.

We are looking for professionals who have personally developed, integrated, tested or supported solutions connected to the DNA core banking platform. You will help financial institutions connect their core banking capabilities with digital banking platforms, lending systems, CRM, payments and other third-party services.

What you will do

Depending on the assignment, you may:

  • Design, develop and support integrations between Fiserv DNA and third-party applications.

  • Work with DNA APIs and integration interfaces, including DNAconnect, DNA Core API transactions and/or Communicator Open, as applicable to the institution’s environment.

  • Translate banking requirements into technical designs, interface specifications and data mappings.

  • Implement reliable handling of authentication, authorization, validation, errors, retries, duplicate requests and transaction reconciliation.

  • Develop or enhance DNAapps using DNAcreator where required and supported by your experience.

  • Create automated integration tests and support end-to-end testing, regression testing and business acceptance.

  • Diagnose integration issues across DNA, middleware and connected systems, working with client teams and vendors.

  • Support releases, upgrades, production readiness and technical handover.

  • Document dependencies, platform constraints and operational support procedures.

What you bring

Required

  • Demonstrable, hands-on development or integration experience with Fiserv DNA.

  • Direct experience using DNA APIs or integration interfaces, with the ability to explain the specific products, transactions and tools used.

  • Experience delivering or supporting at least one DNA-related solution in a production financial-services environment.

  • Strong software development skills in the languages and frameworks used in your DNA engagements; please identify your stack.

  • Experience with API integration, structured data formats, database queries and troubleshooting across connected systems.

  • Understanding of banking concepts such as members/customers, accounts, deposits, lending, balances and transactions.

  • Experience building secure, reliable integrations involving sensitive financial information.

  • Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate with architects, business analysts, QA teams and vendor specialists.

  • Based in Canada and able to provide services as an independent contractor.

An asset

  • Experience supporting Canadian credit unions.

  • DNAcreator, DNAapps or Fiserv AppMarket development and validation experience.

  • Experience with multiple DNA versions, upgrades or core banking conversions.

  • Integration experience involving digital banking, loan origination, CRM, payments or reporting platforms.

  • C#/.NET, SQL, Oracle/PLSQL, middleware, cloud platforms or CI/CD experience relevant to your previous DNA work.

  • Previous delivery experience with Fiserv, a credit union, a core banking service provider or a systems integrator.

What success looks like

You can independently assess a DNA integration requirement, identify the relevant interfaces and dependencies, and deliver a secure, tested and supportable solution. You explain platform limitations clearly and work effectively across the financial institution, Fiserv and other technology partners.

How to express interest

Please submit your résumé online, and include the following in your cover letter:

  1. DNA experience: Years of hands-on experience, most recent use and DNA versions worked with, where known.

  2. APIs and tools: Specific DNA interfaces, APIs, SDKs and development tools you have used.

  3. Project examples: One or two examples describing the business requirement, connected systems, your personal responsibilities and the production outcome.

  4. Technical stack: Languages, databases, integration platforms and testing tools used.

  5. Availability: Location/time zone, earliest start date, weekly capacity and expected hourly contract rate in CAD.

Anonymized project examples are welcome. Please do not submit confidential client information, proprietary code or restricted vendor documentation.
