What you will do

• System-level architecture and design. Produce well-articulated design documentation to drive alignment within and across teams
• In-person/in-office support during new hardware bring-up and debug (location Mountain view, CA)
• Deliver high-quality code in a real-time embedded environment
• Develop security protocols for communication and update
• Lead and develop product test firmware to support the production/manufacturing process
• Cross functional collaboration

Required profile/experience

• 7+ years of experience in firmware
• Bachelor’s degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or equivalent
• Experience in developing, debugging, testing, and shipping medical devices
• Experience with achieving functional safety certifications such as Ul and IEC
• Expert in C, C++, and Python
• Experience in motor control
• Experience in implementing embedded WiFi connectivity in a consumer product
• Experience in a variety of serial hardware interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, etc)
• Experience with real-time operating systems (FreeRTOS, etc)
• Experience with sensor implementation
• Experience implementing high reliability and fault-tolerant system
• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Experience working in a start-up
• 10+ years experience
• Medical Device Experience
• Willingness to travel on occasion to our headquarters office in Mountain View, California
