About the Role
We are looking for a highly independent, commercially minded Senior Financial Editor to lead the planning, execution and continuous improvement of high-quality financial content.
We are looking for a strong understanding of financial markets with sharp editorial judgement, user insight and data-driven thinking. You will take ownership of columns, special projects and breaking-market coverage, while working closely with AI, product and operations teams to improve content quality, production efficiency and user experience.
This is an opportunity for an experienced financial-content professional in Hong Kong who enjoys making decisions, building scalable editorial systems and shaping the future of AI-enabled financial media.
What You’ll Do
1. Independent editorial decision-making
- Assess market developments and identify stories and themes that matter to our users.
- Determine content angles, priorities, publishing timing and distribution channels within your remit.
- Take ownership of the accuracy, timeliness and user value of published content.
2. Plan and deliver content initiatives
- Lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of regular editorial franchises, thematic features, major market-event coverage and special projects.
- Define target audiences, content formats, production standards and publishing cadence.
- Manage the full workflow from proposal and production to launch, performance review and iteration.
3. Produce high-quality financial content
- Write, edit and review financial content across relevant formats.
- Turn complex market developments into clear, accurate and accessible content for users.
- Establish, maintain and continuously improve editorial guidelines and quality standards.
4. Build AI-enabled content workflows
- Partner with AI teams to develop, maintain and refine AIGC content-production rules, templates and quality-assurance standards.
- Support the launch of new content formats and improve editorial production workflows.
- Evaluate AI-generated output for factual accuracy, logical consistency, clarity and practical production gains.
5. Optimise through data and user insights
- Analyse content reach, quality engagement, interactions and subsequent user behaviour.
- Identify gaps in content supply and distribution, recommend actionable improvements, and validate their impact through data.
- Use performance insights to improve editorial planning, content formats and distribution strategies.
6. Collaborate with product and operations teams
- Translate editorial and operational needs into product requirements.
- Work cross-functionally to enhance content hubs, operational tools and product features.
- Document and scale repeatable editorial methods, workflows and best practices.
