We’re looking for a Senior Financial Controller who is keen to develop their international experience as well as using their domestic knowledge to boost our Finance team. Worksome offers an exciting opportunity to give the right candidate the platform to grow and challenge themselves in a dynamic environment. Working closely with our VP of Finance, you will have a huge impact on supporting and developing our controlling function.
About the job
You will be a core part of our finance team in Denmark, UK, and the US, facilitating fast, accurate, and reliable accounting operations across the group. Key responsibilities will include:
- Owning and leading month-end closing
- Reconciliation and review of accounts and resolving discrepancies collaborating with other departments
- Payroll reconciliations
- Ongoing optimisation and automation of bookkeeping and accounting processes
- VAT and tax reporting in our subsidiaries
- Assist in the preparation of monthly reports and annual accounts
- Support the remaining finance team during vacation and peak periods
- Ad-hoc financial tasks
About You
- 3-5 years of experience in controlling
- Relevant educational background such as finance oriented Cand.merc., HD/R or similar
- Deep understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Proficiency in English, written and spoken
- Structured and detail-oriented
- Takes pride in delivering high quality work
- Self-driven and wanting to take ownership
- Thrives in an ever changing environment
- Excellent communication skills
