Senior Financial Analyst
STR’s is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to add to the growing Finance team. The successful candidate will support all aspects of financial analysis including monthly analysis of P&L’s, forecasts, and budgets. The Senior Financial Analyst will also regularly interact with internal customers, requiring a high level of coordination and communications
Description & Responsibilities:
- Financial business partner across Business Operations and Technical Divisions
- Drive the annual budget and monthly forecast processes
- Provide monthly analysis of financial results, including profit and loss, labor utilization, indirect expenses, and capital expenditures
- Provide detailed financial reports comparing budget and forecasts to actuals; provide assessment and causes of monthly variances as well as guidance to achieve overall financial goals
- Ensure that monthly actuals and forecast reports are reliable, accurate, and complete
- Ability to perform trend analysis and make recommendations to VP’s (revenues, indirect expenses, hiring capacity, etc.)
- Financial lead working with STR CTO to plan and track Internal Research & Development initiatives
- Collaborating with Division VP’s, Group Leads, and the Finance team on various Finance topics
- Assist with Accounting support during month-end
- Perform special projects as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Finance
- 3 – 7 years of experience in Accounting, FP&A, Finance, or related field
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Fundamental understanding of Microsoft Excel and ability to create intermediate formulas
- Strong problem solving and analytical skill
Ability to:
- Communicate effectively
- Stay organized and multi-task in a fast-moving environment
- Analyze and interpret financial data swiftly
- Work independently and in a team environment to meet deadlines
- Make decisions with sound judgement while complying with policies and procedures
- Establish processes to drive efficiencies
- Develop and maintain professional and effective relationships with internal and external customers
- Ability to obtain a security clearance (US Citizen)
