About the Role:
The Financial Analyst position is an integral role in supporting Seerist's fast-paced growth initiatives. This position will be responsible for supporting the Finance Director with all functions of the company's commercial finances through financial analysis, forecasting/budgeting and business partnering with key stakeholders. This position will primarily be hybrid with onsite visits to our Reston, VA or Houston, TX office.
Responsibilities:
- Support the budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes
- Ability to translate financial and non-financial revenue and metrics into actionable operating plans to support business growth
- Support the month-end close process with accounting for any applicable revenue/commission accruals
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial management information packs with commentary on variances
- Act as a business partner with the controller and accounting team to support strong financial controls and continuous improvement in the monthly close/reporting processes
- Act as a financial business partner across the organization for ad-hoc projects
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant finance/account experience
- Relevant financial planning and analysis experience in building annual budgets, monthly forecasting, and ad hoc financial modeling
- Strong commercial/pricing acumen
- Advanced Excel, analytical and PowerPoint presentation skillset
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with a variety of stakeholders
Desired Qualifications:
- MBA in Finance or Accounting
- Experience with the SaaS and/or consulting industry
- Familiar with ASC 606 SaaS Accounting and Compliance Principles
