At GBST, we're looking for a motivated Finance Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their finance career who wants to build strong commercial and analytical skills while partnering with leaders across the business.

You will play an important role in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and performance reporting, helping transform data into meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making.

This role is ideal for a candidate with around 2+ years' FP&A experience, a strong accounting foundation, and a desire to develop their career in a fast-paced technology business.

What you will do:

  • Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes

  • Maintain and enhance financial models across P&L, cash flow and recurring revenue

  • Analyse performance, variances and key business drivers

  • Prepare management and board reporting packs

  • Provide insights on revenue, profitability, costs and business performance

  • Support commercial analysis, deal reviews and business cases

  • Partner with stakeholders to understand financial risks and opportunities

  • Identify and implement improvements to finance processes and reporting

What You'll Bring

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline

  • CA/CPA qualified or currently working towards completion

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an FP&A or Financial Analyst role

  • Strong financial modelling, analysis and Excel skills

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • A proactive approach and keen attention to detail

Skills Required

  • Experience in FP&A including financial modelling (P&L, cashflow, ARR) and forecasting
  • Driver-based budgeting and build/rollover of forecast models
  • Scenario and sensitivity analysis for financial decision-making
  • Produce monthly board and management packs with clear commentary
  • ARR, revenue and new business pipeline analysis, and AWS/SaaS cost analysis
  • Support month-end processes and work with Financial Control
  • Commercial deal and contract review analysis and client/product profitability analysis
  • Strong business partnering and communication skills with divisional leaders
  • Maintain model integrity, documentation and version control
  • Drive process improvements and standardisation in forecasting, reporting and modelling
  • Comply with company policies, statutory requirements and workplace health and safety
