The opportunity for U
We’re now on the lookout for a Senior Finance Analyst. This role plays a key role in building a high-performing, commercially focused FP&A function at GBST through financial modelling, analysis and reporting and supporting budgeting and forecasting. You’ll also be partnering with the business stakeholders to support decision-making. The role shifts Finance from producing numbers to delivering decision-grade insights.

What U will do:

Forecasting and Budgeting

  • Maintain and enhance build and rollover of forecast models (P&L, cashflow, ARR)

  • Support any further value add modelling for internal use

  • Support budget process (driver-based)

  • Analyse variances and identify key performance drivers

  • Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis

  • Support weekly cashflow forecasting and provide insights into key movements and risks

  • Maintain integrity, documentation and version control of planning models

Performance Analysis and Reporting

  • Produce monthly board and management packs and commentary

  • Provide clear insights into: ARR performance, Revenue and new business pipeline, AWS/ SaaS cost analysis, People cost trends, Margin and profitability

  • Translate financial results into clear business implications

  • Support Financial Control in efficient month end and review of results

  • Commercial and Business Partnering

  • Support commercial deal and contract review analysis

  • Conduct client and product profitability analysis

  • Partner with divisional leaders to understand drivers and risks

  • Assist with investment cases and strategic initiatives

  • Ad-hoc commercial analysis

Process and Continuous Improvement

  • Proactively identify and implement process improvements across forecasting, reporting and modelling

  • Work closely with Financial Control to ensure alignment

  • Identify opportunities to simplify and standardise processes

Skills Required

  • Experience in FP&A including financial modelling (P&L, cashflow, ARR) and forecasting
