WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

The Senior Financial Analyst, Global Finance is a valuable contributor on our dynamic Global Finance team helping to deliver financial insights & reports to the CFO & Converse Leadership team. In this role you will partner closely with functional and geo leaders across the world to support creation and execution of Converse strategies. You will be part of Global Finance team responsible for bringing together insightful, financially disciplined analysis to support the Converse transformation agenda.

To succeed in the role, you must be a self-starter who can work with limited oversight. You must possess excellent analytical skills, attention to detail paired with the ability to see the bigger picture, a strong work ethic and a desire to continuously learn and help evolve the department and how we service our internal stakeholders. The candidate needs to have extensive experience in financial modeling and requires expert Excel skills, in addition to the following qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, strategic planning, economics or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a business-related field and/or budgeting at a Fortune 500 company.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills while being independent and resourceful

  • Strong understanding of P&L structure, accounting fundamentals, and month-end close mechanics

  • High attention to detail and accuracy with tight deadlines

  • Ability to thrive in a changing environment with agility, curiosity, and passion to create extraordinary value

  • Strong ability to communicate complex and/or challenging topics and concepts

  • Strong ability to pivot between financial analysis and business partnership activities

  • Client service attitude and ability to exercise high degree of professionalism

  • Ability to manage multiple and changing processes and priorities

  • Process and detail-oriented with the ability to think holistically and strategically

  • Innate desire to continuously explore, learn, and exercise intellectual curiosity

  • Ability to create/deliver influential presentations

  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint

  • SAP, BI, Tableau experience preferred

  • Experience in retail or manufacturing industry preferred

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

As Senior Financial Analyst, Global Finance you’ll be responsible for delivering actionable financial insights to move the Converse business forward. You will have direct responsibility for developing and maintaining financial models and delivering financial analysis to support leadership decision making. A successful candidate will bring a highly analytical, solution oriented, and entrepreneurial mindset to the role to drive the following:

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual P&L consolidation reporting

  • Ensure accuracy of financial data as well as maintain and enhance reporting systems.

  • Prepare and distribute timely and insightful financial analysis to measure progress against strategic plan, work with partners to ensure accountability, and support marketplace decisions.

  • Actively interprets and reviews financial results with senior leaders, including trends/issues and opportunities, to drive actionable responses.

  • Responsible for orchestrating and executing monthly forecasting and reporting process, understanding and advising the appropriate levers to pull across geographies and P&L dimensions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clearly understand risks and opportunities to financial forecasts and to advise strategies to help the business achieve financial objectives through financial modeling and scenario analysis.

  • Continuously streamline processes and tools in respect to business planning, aiming to improve efficiency without sacrificing quality

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, strategic planning, economics or related field (or equivalent combination of education/experience)
  • Minimum 3 years professional experience in a business-related field and/or budgeting at a Fortune 500 company
  • Extensive experience in financial modeling
  • Expert/advanced proficiency with Excel
