About the Job
CNA is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analysist to join the Corporate FP&A Team. The Corporate FP&A team partners with leaders across Technology, Operations, Claims, Corporate Real Estate, and other departments to enable informed decision making regarding investments in new capabilities and the management of enterprise spend. Additionally, this role will optimize and streamline reporting and critical operational processes, build out new analytical resources, lead special projects, and be a key player in financial close, forecasts and plans.
Your Day to Day
•\tDevelop cost benefit analyses, staffing models, and ad hoc reporting on
proposed investments in people, technology, and analytics.•\tLead the annual budgeting process for multiple departments, which
includes liaising with leaders, developing reporting, and communicating
results. •\tCollaborate with accounting on the monthly financial close of departmental
expenses•\tLeverage financial expertise to recognize and resolve emerging issues,
independently investigate anomalies and variances in data•\tExtract or summarize key insights, clearly and concisely communicate
insights with actionable recommendations to senior leadership
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Basic Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of corporate and departmental accounting/finance practices, procedures and principles
- Advanced Microsoft Office Excel skills
- Track record of delivering results with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to work independently and self-motivate in a rapidly changing environment
- Ability to work with senior business partners with tight deadlines
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of an insurance organization and industry
- Advanced modeling skills
- Experience with the following or similar tools/systems: Tableau, Workday, Adaptive Insights, and PowerBI
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business or accounting, finance, economics, or equivalent
- Typically a minimum three to five years of finance experience or a related analytical field with progressively increasing levels of responsibility

I n certain jurisdictions, CNA is legally required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. In District of Columbia , California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois , Maryland , Massachusetts , New York and Washington, the national base pay range for this job level is $54,000 to $103,000 annually.Salary determinations are based on various factors, including but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
