Role Overview
The Client is undertaking a major reimplementation of Openlink Endur (v16 to v25), modernizing its global trading, finance, and settlements infrastructure.
We are seeking a Senior Finance Business Analyst with deep commodities trade lifecycle expertise and a strong understanding of how trading, valuation, settlement, and P&L data flows into Finance.
With requirements, design, and development largely complete, the primary focus is System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), data validation, and downstream Finance integration.
The Client uses a proprietary Settlement Management System (SMS) rather than Endur's Accounting module and is transitioning settlements away from Endur Settlement Desktop. Consequently, trade lifecycle knowledge and financial data expertise are more critical than detailed Endur configuration experience.
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Business Analysis
Serve as the primary liaison between Finance stakeholders, project teams, and downstream systems developers.
Validate business requirements, functional specifications, and financial data mappings.
Ensure accurate accounting, valuations, accruals, and realized/unrealized P&L reporting from Endur v25.
Translate trade lifecycle events into Finance data requirements.
Integration & Data Management
Define and validate data integrations between Endur, data warehouses, and downstream Finance applications.
Partner with developers to resolve data mapping, reconciliation, and reporting issues.
Ensure financial data accuracy, completeness, traceability, and auditability.
Support Kafka-based data pipelines and automated financial event processing.
Testing & Implementation
Lead SIT validation across end-to-end trade lifecycle scenarios.
Support Finance users through UAT, defect resolution, and sign-off.
Validate financial extracts, reporting feeds, and downstream system outputs.
Assist with implementation readiness, user training, and post-go-live improvements.
Process Improvement & Governance
Identify opportunities to automate financial reporting and reduce operational risk.
Standardize Finance data processes and strengthen reporting controls.
Resolve data quality issues across trading and Finance systems.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of Business Analysis experience within commodities trading, ETRM, and Finance/Accounting environments.
Strong knowledge of Openlink Endur, including trade lifecycle data structures, tables, and downstream integrations.
Proven experience with Endur upgrades, migrations, or reimplementations.
Comprehensive understanding of front-to-back commodities trading, accounting, valuations, P&L attribution, settlements, and reconciliations.
Strong data analysis, validation, reconciliation, and lineage-tracing capabilities; SQL preferred.
Hands-on experience with SIT, UAT, defect management, and financial data validation.
Ability to translate complex Finance requirements into actionable technical specifications.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude) to improve BA productivity.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience across power, natural gas, freight, or emissions markets.
Knowledge of Kafka and event-driven data architectures.
Familiarity with data warehouses, reporting platforms, and Finance system integrations.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
