Here’s some of the other things you can look forward to 

As a Senior Financial Advisor, you will be responsible for assisting Group Finance Directors and their teams in running improvement initiatives (examples include legal entity simplification, process standardization, supporting ERP implementations, etc.), providing ad hoc support in running day to day activities including but not limited to preparing both internal and external financial reports, contributing to the integrity and transparency of our financial practices. As part of our ongoing innovation and strategy implementation, you will play a vital role in enhancing our financial processes to support the company's growth and increasing scalability of finance operations. This position will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams and participation in strategic projects. Based in Hempel Headquarter in Lyngby, Denmark, you'll report to Director of Finance Projects and focus on: 

  • Project Leadership and Management: 

-Lead selected priority projects and initiatives improving finance scalability and driving cost efficiency across Finance functions. E.g. Legal entity simplification, EPR implementations, monthly/annual close process standardization and simplification, improvement of cash flow and balance sheet forecasting etc. 

-Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and milestones. 

-Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress and key performance indicators. 

-Drive finance efforts in selected cross-functional initiatives focusing on compliance and process efficiency (e.g. e-invoicing). 

-Support VP Group Finance and Director, Finance Projects in implementation of other initiatives where expert knowledge spanning across multiple finance disciplines is required. 

-Lead the financial integration and/or carve-out processes within all aspects of the Group Finance function, ensuring smooth transition, regulatory compliance and effective coordination with internal teams and stakeholders. 

  • Supporting Group Finance Directors: 

-Provide ad-hoc support to Group Finance Directors in their respective areas of responsibility at peak times of activity. E.g. Supporting all in estimating Group Finance costs and providing rolling forecasts, support Director, External Reporting during the year end close process, etc. 

  • Leadership and Stakeholder Alignment: 

-Provide strong leadership and guidance to the teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. 

-Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align projects objectives with overall organizational strategy. 

-Act as a key liaison between the finance department and other business units, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. 

 

What do you need to be successful in this role?  

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Accounting qualification/certification is a strong plus.  

  • Proven track record and hands on experience working in multiple areas of Finance 

  • Proven experience in leading and managing complex finance projects, with a focus on process improvement.  

  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, compliance standards, and best practices.  

  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives concurrently.  

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders.  

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral.
