Senior External Development Manager

Job Description: As FPC’s Senior External Development Manager, you will work closely with our team leaders to determine our external development needs and then source and build the right partnerships. You will create and manage our processes for aligning and tracking partner deliverables, ensuring their work meets our needs and quality standards and providing feedback to both our internal and external developers to build strong relationships and effective collaboration. You will facilitate open communication between our internal teams and external development partners and refine our approach and strategy to improve our capabilities and outcomes in working with development partners.

Responsibilities:

• Source and vet potential partners and structure partnership models to meet our external development needs
• Build FPC’s capability to work effectively with external teams and integrate them into our development approach and plans
• Partner with production to track and manage partner deliverables and proactively address any timing or quality issues
• Manage ongoing relationships with our partners as their main point of contact for the overall collaboration
• Establish accountability metrics and feedback processes between our internal and external teams to continuously improve how we work together

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience experience managing external development / outsourcing partnerships on AAA games either within the development team or at a co-dev studio
• Deep understanding of the game development process and strong ability to track, prioritize, follow through on multiple deliverables across different teams/groups
• Excellent communication and organizational skills and the proven ability to build strong and high-trust partnerships and resolve conflicts
• Ability to travel as needed (up to 25%), sometimes internationally, to conduct due diligence and onboard partner teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• Fluency in Mandarin
• Experience working on live service titles
• Experience working with globally distributed teams and partners

US Salary Band: $110,000 - 175,000 USD 

Canadian Salary Band: $95,000 - 135,000 CAD 

The expected annual base pay ranges reflected in this job description are applicable to individuals residing in or working within a designated location. Any final compensation offer will depend on various factors.
