Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Senior Estimating and Pricing Specialist – Team Lead in Saint Charles, MO.
This position offers the opportunity to enhance a candidate’s knowledge of the acquire process, as well as the overall execution of the business. Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) in Saint Charles has a broad portfolio of programs and customers, both domestic and international. As a member of the Weapons Estimating team the successful candidate may have the opportunity to support both Direct Attack and Cruise Missile weapons programs, gaining broader experience and visibility.
Position Responsibilities:

Leads development of estimates and prices with complex technical requirements through the design, build and support stages of the program

Leads development and application of pricing strategies using innovative computational techniques

Leads business proposals, evaluates and makes recommendations based on complex requests for proposal and substantiates estimates and pricing

Develops complex pricing models
-
Leads and performs complex analyses and provides recommendations in support of pricing and estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.).

Leads the development/application/maintenance of unique and non-unique rates and factors for estimating

Leads compliance activities, policy and procedure development, deployment of new systems/tools, training development/delivery and internal audits
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor’s degree or higher degree
-
5+ years of experience in performing cost estimating/pricing function
-
Experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets
-
Experience working on government proposals, to include Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) compliant proposals

Experiencing performing risk analysis

Ability to proactively apply problem solving skills

Ability to work well independently, and as part of a team

Ability to learn new systems & tools, estimating techniques, and gain program knowledge in a dynamic environment

Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with external customer and across multiple functions including Finance, Supplier Management, and technical disciplines

Demonstrate analytical or estimating capabilities

Experience with time management skills to meet tight schedules with first time quality

Summary pay range: $106,250 - $143,750
