As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead and manage engineering teams to deliver high-quality, client-focused solutions. You will collaborate closely with Solution Architects and other cross-functional teams to ensure that technical designs are robust, scalable, and secure. Your role involves fostering an innovative and collaborative culture, ensuring technical excellence, and driving continuous improvement. Additionally, you will work directly with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs, aligning our technical solutions with their strategic objectives.

What you’ll do:

  • Technical leadership experience across the full development stack. Extensive experience in .NET ecosystem with strong frontend capabilities (React/Angular), cloud architecture knowledge (GCP/Azure), and enterprise database expertise (Oracle/PostgreSQL). 
  • Collaborate with clients and business stakeholders to gather and analyze technical requirements for various projects. 
  • Ensure solutions are designed to meet client expectations and business objectives. 
  • Work alongside Solution Architects to develop and review technical solution proposals and architecture designs.
  • Provide strategic input on technical decisions, ensuring alignment with client goals and organizational standards.
  • Partner with Engineering Managers, Product Owners, and Quality Assurance Leads to oversee the implementation of client solutions. 
  • Collaborate with the Security team to ensure applications are scanned and maintained in compliance with best practices. 
  • Establish a culture of innovation and accountability, promoting ownership within the team.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to evaluate the success of technical solutions.
  • Gather feedback from clients and identify areas for future improvement.
  • Regularly review and update technical solutions to incorporate emerging technologies and best practices.
  • Promote modern development practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD) and explore the use of AI tools to improve efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain standards for technical documentation, ensuring resources are up-to-date and accessible.
  • Work with Engineering Managers and Product Owners to maintain a comprehensive application catalog.
  • Manage and support Engineering Managers, conducting regular performance reviews and one-on-one meetings.
  • Set team quality metrics and evaluate performance, providing coaching and development opportunities.
  • Provide regular updates on team performance, project status, strategic initiatives, and budget management to Technology Directors.
  • Utilize scorecards to present comprehensive overviews and ensure transparency.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four-year College or technical school; at least 5 years related Application Development experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Technical leadership experience across the full development stack. Extensive experience in .NET ecosystem with strong frontend capabilities (React/Angular), cloud architecture knowledge (GCP/Azure), and enterprise database expertise (Oracle/PostgreSQL).
  • This position requires the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume as well as the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • This job requires the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists and the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
