As a Senior Engineering Manager at Nelly in the Financial Products domain, you will be responsible for managing and growing a team of highly skilled engineers and ensuring your team delivers outstanding results in both technology and business outcomes.

Joining us, you will
- Lead, inspire and grow a high-performing team of 4-6 software engineers.
- Collaborate with the product manager to define the roadmap and priorities for your team, while coordinating with dependencies across the company.
- Shape team practices and ways of working for a newly-formed team, establishing guidelines, best practices, and processes that enable high-velocity delivery.
- Take ownership of the quality and security of the software within your team and drive initiatives to improve it continuously.
- Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of Nelly’s engineering leadership team.
What you'll bring
- 4+ years of engineering management experience and 8+ years of overall experience in the industry.
- A strong technical background with hands-on experience in building SaaS products.
- Experience working with the TypeScript ecosystem and public cloud providers (ideally AWS).
- A deep understanding of software development processes and the ability to set up a team for success.
- Empathy and excellent communication skills.
- Experience in developing, mentoring and growing a high-performing team.
- Fluent English skills, with German being a strong plus but not mandatory.
- Experience in financial or payment products is also an important advantage.
