Senior Engineering Manager - DevOps & Infrastructure

The Cybersecurity Group at SandboxAQ is looking for an Engineering Manager to help functionalize AQtive Guard, our groundbreaking solution for modern non-human identity and cryptography management already launching globally with major organizations like top-tier financial institutions and government agencies.

We’re looking for a DevOps & Infrastructure team leader to build, maintain, and deploy our product into production and at scale. Moreover, the design and maintenance of our CI/CD pipelines is an essential responsibility of this team, so that the broader developer experience is supported by providing the right tools to make our team efficient. The candidate should be able to make individual contributions to the codebase and infrastructure. As part of a diverse team of cryptographers, mathematicians, ML experts, and physicists, you will play a key role in the effective enablement of the technologies we are developing.

A successful candidate will excel at leading by example, have a proven track record of professional software design and development, and bring a strong understanding of information security best practices.

• Lead a team of software engineers, including actively participating in planning, prioritizing, designing, implementing and reviewing activities.
• Contribute technically to projects and products.
• Work closely with other engineering teams and product managers.

• Proven track record of shipping and maintaining SaaS products for >7 years
• Significant software experience around modern infrastructure technologies: container orchestration frameworks, infrastructure as code
• Significant experience in deployment within one of the major Cloud Service Providers
• Proven track record managing and leading software engineers.
• Proficiency evaluating and organizing technical work accurately.
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a small team / rapid prototyping environment and deal with uncertainty.

• Expertise in designing and maintaining large-scale data enrichment pipelines.
• Competence in one or more of the following practices: Cryptography, Networking, Data-analysis / ML
• Experience with the Bazel build system
• Experience with Kafka in production

The US base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be $225k-$315k per year. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This role may be eligible for annual discretionary bonuses and equity.
