Primary Responsibilities
- Assist team members by providing technical direction.
- Independently evaluate, select, and adapt standard techniques, procedures, and criteria based on sound engineering principles.
- Use judgment to determine adaptations in methods for non-routine aspects of assignments.
- Accountable for QC reviews of technical and civil engineering documents for the project design team, focusing on compliance with codes and constructability.
- Motivate team members through mentoring, coaching, and training.
- Evaluate Company standards and provide feedback and suggestions to improve internal tools, processes, and principles.
- Perform detailed site design work on a variety of projects and prepare reports, studies, and project documents (as required).
- Conduct field site visits to obtain necessary data.
- Provide advanced technical expertise and support for specialty items and advanced designs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience is required.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is required.
- Computer skills necessary to enter daily timesheet data and use Microsoft Outlook for email correspondence.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, BlueBeam Revu, HydroCAD and other applicable design software.
