Your role will provide scheduling guidance, approvals to proceed with implementation, network orchestration, lead the service provisioning process to ensure a quality delivery and acceptance of the service to the customer and the Network Operations team. As a Senior Service Solutions Engineer, you will represent and at times, lead the Service Solutions team in service planning meetings and work across the organization on quality and optimization initiatives.

As a Senior Service Solutions Engineer, you will work independently and represent the Service Solutions team in Service Delivery meetings and work across the organization on quality and optimization initiatives. You will have the opportunity to showcase and further develop your skills by participating in initiatives that evolve service provisioning processes and take on assignments that introduce new technology platforms.
What you will do:
- Provision service product offerings with emphasis on delivering on customer set expectation and satisfaction
- Reserve and allocate network resources for customer service consumption
- Validate the appropriate configuration for satellite modems at Intelsat teleports and at customer sites
- Collaborate with the Customer Solutions Engineering team to establish initial service requirements for new service implementation
- Collaborate with other Engineering support teams and Operations teams to determine a quality service design and establish service acceptance after the service has been activated
- Review and validate Service Orders and associated documents for accuracy as well as validating the proper hardware/capacity required to support new standard services
- Continuously monitor the status of all open projects during the pre-sales cycle through to implementation
- Communicate with the Customer Solutions Engineering and/or Product teams and make design modifications when changes to the initial scope have been made.
- Assist with continuous improvements by updating process and procedures necessary to improve interfaces between Service Delivery stakeholders
Your required experience/skills
Must have a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and direct work experience
- 5 - 7 years' experience working in a technical network domain
- Cisco network certification required CCNA or CCNP
- Juniper network certification preferred JNCIA-Junos, JNCIS-SP
- Must have in-depth knowledge of MPLS, Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPN, VRF, network routing protocols such as BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, and ISIS
- Hands on configuration and strong troubleshooting is required
- Expert knowledge of IPv4 and IPv6 addressing/sub-netting
- Experience in translating technical service requirements into a logical service design based on written documentation
- Experience translating complex technical requirements into a logical system design
- Extensive knowledge designing, analyzing, evaluating, configuring, troubleshooting, and implementing network solutions
- Must be able to train and mentor other engineers

Build productive work relationships with stakeholder organizations to improve the quality and efficiency of end-to-end service delivery
- Identify opportunities to adapt new technology and automation of the service provisioning process
- Represent Service Solutions as a subject matter expert supporting initiatives to improve the customer experience
- Develop training material and knowledge articles that share knowledge and best practices
