What you’ll do

  • Export & Import Documentation Management: Track and maintain export control sheets and documents including invoices, shipping bills, BL, EBRC, RODTEP scrip, and IGST refund on export. Monitor and track import shipments and maintain import control sheets (DSR).

  • Audit & Compliance Coordination: Handle customs and audit queries including SVB audits. Coordinate with finance teams for EDPMS and IDPMS closures related to e-BRCs. Manage post-export processes such as stuffing, local EGM, and gateway EGM, ensuring error rectification.

  • Freight & Vendor Negotiation: Negotiate freight costs, finalize shipments, freight rate contracts with freight forwarders, and select customs handling agents. Verify shipping bills, bills of entry checklists, and vendor bills against contractual rates and RFQs.

  • Regulatory & Policy Expertise: Finalize HSN codes for products and spares. Arrange various export and import documents such as ARE, DBK, SDF, EVD, SLI, KYC, GR waiver, FEMA, and certificates like SIMS & CIMS. Manage preferential and non-preferential COOs via DGFT.

  • Export Incentives & Refunds: Claim duty drawback, MEIS scrip, RoDTEP, and GST refunds on exports. Play a key role in enrolling WMI to AEO Tier-1 and Status Holder 3.

  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with Interco Sales and Store teams to ensure smooth export sales and timely receipt of import materials for factory GRN.

  • Reporting & Support: Prepare monthly, half-yearly, and yearly EXIM, GST refund, DBK, GIT, and MEIS & RoDTEP utilization reports. Support all activities related to the Impex and Finance/accounts departments.

  • Travel Requirements: Minimal travel may be required to coordinate with freight forwarders, customs agents, or attend audits.

What you’ll bring
Must-haves:

  • Strong knowledge of export and import documentation, freight, and customs handling agent negotiation skills.

  • Expertise in DGFT, ICEGATE, Customs, CBIC, FIEO, Indian Trade Portal, and AEO processes.

  • In-depth understanding of Foreign Trade Policies (2015 & 2023), INCO-TERMS, High Sea Sale, and HSN codes.

  • Proven experience handling post-customs audits and export incentives including GST refund, duty drawback, MEIS, and RoDTEP.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience with second-hand capital goods and break bulk shipments.

  • Familiarity with export control systems and software tools for documentation and reporting.

  • Prior involvement in enrollment and compliance for AEO Tier-1 and Status Holder 3 certifications.

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in reviewing and correcting documentation errors.
