Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Spearhead highway design projects and develop comprehensive contract documents. 

• Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and technical staff. 

• Collaborate with project managers and the unit manager to define project scopes. 

• Where required, operate as Deputy Project Manager in support of Project Management team, providing insight into progress for client groups.

• Create detailed production work plans and schedules. 

• Develop precise contract specifications and bid estimates. 

• Implement robust Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures. 

• Ensure all projects adhere to the highest codes and standards. 

• Train and mentor staff, fostering growth and excellence. 

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. 

• Significant, demonstrable of experience in Highway Design. 

• PE license is required (New Jersey license preferred). 

• Proficiency in MicroStation & InRoads is required.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Office, Acrobat/Bluebeam, 3D Modeling, and other engineering software. 

• Experience working in collaboration with New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) and/ or New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTA) is strongly preferred.

Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $98,000 - $175,000 annually for this position and local market. We recognize that each candidate brings a unique set of skills, experience, education and competencies to the table that will be reflected in our offer. TYLin is proud to offer exciting career development opportunities.
