Product Yield Engineers apply their talents to solve challenging problems in a world-class manufacturing environment. They dig deep into various circuit architectures and collaborate across technical teams and boundaries to solve problems at their root. This is an opportunity to join an international team of talented design, test, and process engineers while delivering innovative products to market with high quality and yield! Product engineers are mentored to become technical leaders with a broad skillset and expose them to different semiconductor disciplines such as wafer fab and assembly processes, circuit designs, device physics, and test. Product Engineering resources include a state-of-the-art failure analysis laboratory, advanced IC design, and layout tools, and specialized statistical and yield analysis applications. The successful Senior Product Yield Engineer (PYE) will support assigned IC products through the full product life cycle. The assignment may be in ADI's Instrumentation, Multi-Markets Power, Communications, Industrial Automation, MEMS or Digital Healthcare.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Yield Enhancement on a variety of analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits.
Define the scope and impact of problems by identifying failure modes, the quantity of material affected, and defect density analysis.
Perform electrical characterization of ADI ICs in the lab using various bench tools.
Perform die-level fault isolation and physical failure analysis to determine the root cause of yield loss.
Drive resolution to problems collaboratively with other groups such as fab, test, or design.
Analysis and disposition on Fabrication related excursions, evaluations and qualifications.
Support FAB transfer resiliency by ensuring equivalency is achieved followed by continuous improvements.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science / Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Physics / Materials Science.
Proficiency in the use of various data analytics tools like JMP, Exensio, KLA ACE.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across engineering disciplines to solve problems.
Ability to own and drive projects with minimal supervision.
