Job DescriptionYour Role
The primary role of this position will be to lead the Invesco technology team’s effort use innovative technologies to enable product and client reporting. The vision is to utilize technologies such as MuleSoft, AWS, Snowflake and Alfresco to deliver the data and content required to the Vermilion Reporting Suite. The squads are determined to work in a Scaled Agile methodology to consistently deliver value to the firm. The dream is to enable the business to quickly create rich communications that deliver Invesco’s purpose to our clients.

You will be Responsible for
Work closely with clients to understand business requirements and to gain a thorough understanding of the business processes.
Solve complex problems with technological proposals.
Research and stay abreast of latest technology trends.
Develop project estimates and manage project work plans.
Answers team member questions, assists team members with issues, and oversees team member work for quality.
Lead a team of engineers including development, mentoring, and product delivery management
Learn and adhere to department standards for design, development, and quality control.
Complete major deliverables including technical design documentation and implementation of business requirements.
Prepare for and support user acceptance testing.
Work as part of a project team, reporting progress and escalating issues to project management in a timely manner to ensure successful completion of projects / reviews.
Complete all tasks related to technical analysis, proof of concepts, building and unit testing, quality assurance, system test and implementation in accordance with the IT development life cycle.
Provide post implementation support.
Create and maintain documentation for systems and processes.
Assist with developing improvements to team processes and procedures.
Handle deployments, define the best practices and coding guidelines for the team.
Stay abreast of new developments and functionality of content management industry trends and cloud platforms.
The Experience you Bring
Extreme Proficiency in developing and consuming REST APIs via MuleSoft
Expertise in MuleSoft 4, API led connectivity, Microservices, Java
Experience / understanding development process in the DevOps environment (including exposure to CI/CD tools such a Bamboo, source code management tools – Git, Bitbucket)
Understanding of AWS specifically EKS and EC2 platforms
A strong grasp of design patterns and software engineering concepts and best practices
5+ years of experience in full stack object-oriented development languages such as Java
5+ years of experience in SQL backed environment, Snowflake preferred
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills with the ability to ask for help when needed.
Consume libraries, tools, and APIs from other teams to achieve the desired functionality.
Technical team leadership experience.
Experience in Scaled Agile framework is preferred.
Exposure and interest in full stack development in one of the following: Node.JS, Python or Java.
A bachelor’s degree in IT related program is preferred and a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
The salary range for this position in Charlottetown is $70,000 - $90,000 per year. The total compensation offered for this position includes salary and incentive pay and will vary based on skills, experience and location.
