Brief Job Description:
Engineer, Product Applications in the Data Center and Energy (DC&E) Business Unit – ADGT will be responsible for designing, developing, and evaluating power systems and solutions for data center and cloud computing infrastructure applications. This role includes creating and generating reference designs, conducting technical analysis, addressing customer inquiries, and producing technical documentation and articles. The engineer will be collaborating with his/her fellow DC&E applications engineers and industry counterparts to develop and support advanced circuit designs and solutions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering required; a master’s or a PH degree in engineering is an advantage.
- Industry experience in Power Electronics is preferred; however, entry-level candidates with a strong foundation in analog and digital electronics background are encouraged to apply.
- Strong knowledge of power electronics, with a background in power drivers, LDOs, and various SMPS topologies—including Buck, Boost, Forward, Flyback, Resonant, and other derived DC-DC converter architectures—is a significant advantage.
- Strong analytical skills with a systematic approach to problem-solving, essential for designing, testing, evaluating, and debugging complex power solutions.
- Proficiency in operating a wide range of bench equipment—including power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and multimeters—is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in circuit simulation tools, such as LTSpice, Simplis/Simetrix, MATLAB, and Simulink, is preferred.
- Proficiency in CAD tools for PCB layout development (e.g., Cadence Allegro, PADS, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as LabVIEW, C, C++, and Python is advantageous.
