Group Summary:
The Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group specializes in automotive technologies that are driving the future of mobility. Combining a deep systems knowledge to develop unique vehicle access experiences, intelligent visions systems and advanced automotive lighting technologies, MML's expertise light the path to innovation, safety and styling.
Job Responsibilities:
Senior Engineer Optical (SEO) is a member of development project team. SEO is responsible for specification of optical concept and design of optical surfaces for lighting product. SEO prepares optical samples and supports homologation process, launch to SOP. SEO effectively communicates with internal, external partners and customers, shares information, respects Health and Safety rules and follows manager's instructions.
Responsibility:
  • development of optical systems of lighting products using CAD, optical applications
  • preparation of optical concepts for quotes and participation in product calculations
  • during evaluation, manufacturing feasibility of products
  • adherence to DGL (if applicable) and creation of new DGL/Best practices/LL/Training materials ...
  • support during photometrical measurements of product including its validation
  • • communication with customers and suppliers in technical topics and solving operational tasks related to customer requirements
  • presentation of concepts or products to customer
  • knowledge of lighting regulations, cooperation with light regulations Magna expert
