Senior Engineer – MEMS Test

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Process Ownership: Develop, optimize, and sustain MEMS production test processes to ensure stable manufacturing performance, product quality, and customer requirements.
  • Failure Investigation & Root Cause Analysis: Perform on-site failure investigation, analyze test failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Yield & Data Analysis: Analyze production yield, test results, and process data to identify trends, improve process capability, and drive yield improvement initiatives.
  • Process Improvement: Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance test efficiency, reduce defects, improve equipment utilization, and increase manufacturing productivity.
  • Customer Support: Support customer quality issues and engineering requests by performing technical investigations, data analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Test Equipment Support: Own and maintain production test equipment, coordinate troubleshooting activities, and work with equipment vendors to improve system reliability and uptime.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Reliability, and R&D teams to resolve technical issues and support new product introduction (NPI).
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain engineering reports, work instructions, process documentation, FMEA, control plans, and engineering change documentation.
  • Continuous Improvement: Utilize statistical analysis tools (SPC, DOE, MSA, Cp/Cpk) and structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, Fishbone, 5 Why) to improve manufacturing performance.
  • Training & Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and training to technicians and operators to ensure consistent execution of production test processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or a related engineering field.
  • 5+ years of experience in semiconductor, MEMS, photonics, or electronics manufacturing.
  • Experience in production testing, failure analysis, process engineering, or manufacturing engineering.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in root cause analysis and statistical problem-solving tools (DOE, SPC, FMEA, MSA).
  • Experience with production test equipment and automated manufacturing systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical measurements and data analysis tools such as JMP, Minitab, or Python is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience in cleanroom manufacturing environments is preferred.
