About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated Senior Full Stack Engineer with a front-end focus to join our Health Alliance team, which plays a critical role in the monetisation strategy and driving our mission to scale TrustedHousesitters from 250K to 1 million members.
This role leans heavily into front-end development and user experience, with a strong emphasis on building fast, accessible, and engaging product surfaces. While you’ll have exposure to our Python/Django back-end with SQL DB, the ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in technologies like React, Next.js, and modern front-end performance and SEO best practices.

Requirements
- Proven experience (4+ years) in full-stack development, including production-grade React (or similar), TypeScript, and backend development preferably with Python/Django or equivalent language/frameworks.
- Strong understanding of scalable web architecture, performance optimisation, and secure coding practices.
- Experience designing, building, and evolving APIs and integrating with third-party platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Next.js, SSR/SSG strategies, and Core Web Vitals optimisation.
- Solid foundation in HTML, CSS, and accessibility best practices.
- Ability to lead technical discovery, architecture planning, and implementation of complex product features.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in collaborating cross-functionally with Product Managers, Designers, and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable driving initiatives in ambiguous problem spaces, aligning business and technical perspectives.
- Experience mentoring engineers through pairing, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing strategies, and observability tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Sentry, Datadog).
- A mindset geared toward experimentation, measurement, and continuous improvement, especially within growth-driven product teams.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience working in a start-up/scale-up environment.
- Familiar with Agile methodologies and working with Scrum/Kanban.
- Exposure to the payment domain and payment processors (e.g. Stripe).
- Curiosity for React Native and app development.
- Experience leveraging AI to enhance your own productivity.
- Familiarity with A/B testing frameworks or data-informed experimentation.
