Lonza is looking to hire a Process Engineer to join our Engineering team at Tuas site in Singapore.
This is a fully site‑based role at Singapore Tuas. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.
The Senior Engineer, Engineering - Process provides advanced process engineering support and technical expertise to ensure successful and uninterrupted biologics manufacturing in a multi-product CDMO cGMP environment. Delivers defined scopes for technology transfer, equipment design and introduction, commissioning and routine operational support. Independently drives complex troubleshooting, investigations and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient manufacturing, while providing guidance to junior engineers.

What You’ll Do:
New Product / Equipment Introduction
- Involve in new customer tech transfer and risk assessment as process technical resource; develop, plan and execute work necessary to ensure successful tech transfer.
- Deliver defined workstreams for technology transfer and equipment introduction, translating process needs into URS/FDS, P&IDs/flow paths, CIP/SIP strategy inputs, and commissioning/qualification deliverables.
- Execute wet testing/functional verification activities prior to qualification; interpret results and recommend design/operational improvements.
- Support equipment delivery through commissioning including protocol/report authorship and execution oversight, ensuring readiness for GMP release.
Product Lifecycle Support
- Provide day-to-day SME support to Manufacturing, drive effective troubleshooting and timely resolution.
- Lead or co-lead complex engineering related deviation investigations and RCAs; define and implement CAPA and support effectiveness verification.
- Propose and drive data-driven improvements to manufacturing success rates (RFT), yield, throughput, and cycle time.
Change Control/Compliance
- Own technical assessments for change requests impacting process/equipment; ensure validation and regulatory impacts are evaluated and mitigated.
- Author engineering justifications, technical memos, and risk assessments; support audits/inspections as Engineering SME and provide technical responses.
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or Diploma with Process Engineering experience.
- Relevant experience in the operation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, preferably in Biopharmaceutical or Petrochemical facilities.
- Good understanding in process equipment design and operation.
- Strong problem solving ability, troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
