Senior Software Engineer – Embedded Software
Business Unit: Data Center and Energy
Location: Bangalore
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Embedded Software Engineer to develop production-grade firmware for next-generation Data Center and Energy solutions. In this role, you will design and build end-to-end embedded applications integrating signal processing, communication protocols, and system services on ADI SoCs and microcontrollers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop embedded firmware for energy management and data center applications on heterogeneous embedded platforms
- Integrate signal processing algorithms into resource-constrained embedded systems
- Implement communication protocols such as Modbus and SNMP
- Develop device drivers, bootloaders, and firmware update mechanisms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions
- Debug and optimize firmware for performance, reliability, and power efficiency
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
Experience
- 4–8 years of hands-on experience in embedded systems development
Technical Skills
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ for embedded systems
- Experience with ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers and development environments
- Hands-on experience developing and debugging applications for heterogeneous embedded systems
- Working knowledge of RTOS (e.g., Zephyr, FreeRTOS)
- Experience with communication protocols such as USB, SPI, I2C
- Familiarity with embedded toolchains (GCC, Keil, IAR) and debuggers (JTAG/SWD)
- Proficiency in version control systems (Git)
- Basic scripting skills
- Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT)
