Position Tasks and Responsibilities : -
Die Engineering

  • Contribute to manufacturability validation process of new Sheetmetal product design through virtual simulation for meeting GM's manufacturing requirements for Sheetmetal Parts.
  • Perform Die engineering studies with minimum support and collaborate with various team members.
  • Evaluate manufacturing tools design and the interface between tool and product designs using virtual simulation analysis.
  • Identify areas for improvement/optimization for product, process and tooling designs and provide simulation analysis reports outlining issues and solutions.


General Abilities:

  • Passionate to work in a team .
  • Good understanding of Virtual Simulation software's and participate in testing of these modules with domain experts during new updates/versions' implementation.
  • Ability to think and explore opportunities to improve current process/new ways of doing things. Implement new process concepts and associated workflows by involving all stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage product data required to perform simulations.
  • Ability to understand and follow standardized work processes within team and support
  • Willingness to work across all sub functions in Press and Dies team as per changing work opportunities and self-development needs


Knowledge

  • Exposure to any of the the formability software's Autoform, Pamstamp, Dynaform, Hyperform, etc.
  • Experience in NX / Catia Surface modeling .
  • Basic Understanding of Tool Design and Manufacturing.
  • Understanding of Press and Dies Processes : Die design / Tool making / Tryout (Preferred)

Education/ Experience:

  • Bachelors' Eng. Degree(Mech/Auto/Prod) with preferably Tool and Die Making PG/Diploma
  • 4 - 8 Years of experience in Die Domain (Die Engineering, Die Design)
  • Exposure to tool room and press shop activities is added advantage.
