Your Role
As a Senior CyberSecurity Engineer within ELCA Cloud Services, you will report to the Security Team Manager in the Platform department. You will play a key engineering role in delivering security solutions for customer projects while also contributing to the continuous improvement of ELCA Cloud Services’ internal security platforms and operations.
You will work hands-on with cybersecurity tools and platforms, supporting projects from design and implementation to operational use. As a senior member of the team, you will contribute to technical decisions, guide internal teams on security best practices, and shape how security is implemented across the organization.
This role combines customer-facing security delivery, security operations, and platform engineering, with a strong focus on automation, collaboration and operational excellence
Within the Security Team, you will:
- Implement, operate, and evolve cybersecurity platforms and products, for internal use and for customer environment.
- Contribute to customer security projects by implementing security controls and proposing continuous security improvements
- Continuously improve the SIEM detection and response capabilities, including documenting the use cases, implementing the security alerts and defining the operational procedures-
- Participate in and provide guidance during security incidents, performing analysis and supporting remediation activities.
- Support internal teams in integrating security controls into their solution in line with best practices.
- Contribute to the technology roadmap for security platforms, including tool evaluation, integration, and documentation.
- Use automation tools such as Puppet and Terraform to streamline security operations.
- Document solutions and share knowledge to improve team efficiency and consistency

Your profile
You are a senior security engineer passionate about technology; you learn constantly, and you love to master challenges in a changing environment.
You are comfortable taking ownership of critical security activities, reacting when incidents occur, proactively improving tools and processes, actively influencing how security is implemented across projects and platforms.
Your expertise covers:
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with security technologies and platforms, such as:
- SIEM and detection tools
- MFA and identity-related security solutions
- Encryption and secrets management
- Vulnerability management
- Password manager solutions
- Solid experience in security operations, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Experience with automation and configuration management tools (e.g. Puppet, Terraform, Ansible).
- Strong understanding of network security concepts (firewall, proxy, load balancer, DNS/DHCP, VPN).
- Solid understanding of infrastructure components (Windows, Linux, container platforms such as OpenShift).
- Good knowledge of security standards and frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Benchmarks).
- Actively follow security vulnerabilities, trends, and threats.
- Experience with public cloud infrastructures (AWS and/or Azure).
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to explain security concepts to non-security specialists.
- Comfortable working with customers and cross-functional internal teams.
- Pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset.

The position is based in Pully. Excellent written and spoken French and English are required; proficiency in German is an asset.
Only candidacies from Swiss residents or willing to relocate will be considered.
