The Senior Engineer will be expected to carry out activities listed below on Connections systems equipment, meeting company and external engineering standards. Candidate will perform a range of typical design and development related duties to the competences listed below.
 

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Mentor and train less experienced designers on the following:
  • Create work packs for delegation, review detail drawings, create test procedures and lead task with external business partners.
  • Create/review/approve Layouts, specify functional components, evaluate stackups, create assembly procedures, support manufacturing, undertake basic calculations.
  • Interpret customer engineering specifications to produce layout, detail and assembly designs and specifications
  • Develop conceptual design requirements and layouts for review following company design process plan (DPP)
  • Develop general design specifications for interpretation by other engineers and designers.
  • Retrieve and submit data in PLM (Teamcenter) system following company protocols.
  • Create/review and approve detail, fabrication and assembly level drawings to company standards and format
  • Create/review and approve detail designs for manufacture and participate and create material for design reviews including materials and environmental reviews using relevant software to prepare general drawings.
  • Undertake design verification, which may include but not limited to:  Tolerance studies, design reliability, design for manufacture, simple failure analysis, design reviews, simple calculations for basic design Verification purposes.
  • Identify improvements in existing products, procedures and processes and develop cost effective solutions to satisfy specifications
  • Create/review/approve factory acceptance test (FAT) procedures, prototype Test Procedures, FDS, and User Manuals.
  • Provide support to the team who works on tenders
  • Lead and participate in multi-disciplinary engineering groups to provide solutions to project's and client's needs
  • Seek new innovative technical solutions to improve team processes, products and systems.
  • Support CTR process and create scope of work
  • Perform system approach in task and projects

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have background in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent as required with extensive design experience in lieu.
  • Have significant relevant work experience in relevant engineering or technical discipline.
  • Have appropriate standard of technical, safety and professional knowledge
  • Have knowledge about Oil&Gas bussies, especially subsea would be seen as an asset.
  • Be fully familiar with Risk Assessment and Reliability Verification procedures
  • Be highly knowledgeable of current relevant industry standards and codes for area of work.
  • Have knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (ISO, API, ASME, NORSOK, DNV)
  • Have experience of current Design / Modelling / Financial / project Management / Analytical software. Teamcenter, Creo, AutoCAD, Ansys Workbench
  • Be conscientious, flexible, versatile and determined.
  • Be capable of assertive and positive communication and performance.
  • Have good presentation and written skills to enable clear delivery of information to all
  • Be fully Fluent in English language. Other location-specific languages desirable.
  • Have sufficient understanding of behavioral personnel issues.
  • Promote team professional growth through timely performance feedback, coaching and counselling.
  • Have professional approach to changing work demands

  • Have good interpersonal skills
