We’re looking for a data-driven and forward-thinking engagement strategist with a passion for building and executing integrated marketing plans in the healthcare and life science space. As an Engagement Strategist at Avalere Health, you will play a critical role in the engagement ideation, development, and activation efforts across your assigned portfolio(s). This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join a growing team and work with global brands who are pursuing new and innovative technologies that make the world a better place. 

The ideal candidate is comfortable taking a lead role while collaborating with key partners across creative, brand strategy, media, technology, and analytics teams to understand the bigger picture and determine how all pieces work together to achieve a common goal.

What you'll do

• Identify opportunities to drive desired behavior with target audiences,
• Translate business objectives and brand strategies into integrated, measurable engagement plans
• Oversee the development and execution of individual tactics to ensure alignment to engagement strategy
• Measure the plan’s performance and impact and provide optimization recommendations
• Collaborate with account, media, analytics, and creative teams to ensure that digital and engagement strategies are properly integrated within larger marketing programs 
• Inform the marketing approach leveraging data-driven insights from media, analytics and digital trends to inform audience targeting and multichannel or omnichannel campaigns 
• Advise on best practices for channels and media formats leveraged to communicate with patient and consumer audiences
• Make strong, well-reasoned recommendations to cross functional teams on how to optimize tactics over time based on data output 
• Track, distill, and share relevant digital, technological, and innovation-related insights to the broader team while identifying opportunities for applying to client solutions 
• Effectively present in a variety of settings: one-on-one, in small/large groups, as well as outside of the organization 

About you

• 3-5 years of digital marketing experience (pharma experience strongly desired) 
• Strong background in generating data-driven insights and recommendations
• Ability to articulate engagement strategy recommendations to cross functional internal team and clients teams 
• Understanding of basic UX principles for design & development of experiences 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 
• Working knowledge of analytics/social media/social listening platforms such as Google analytics, Sprout Social, Netbase, etc.
• Practical experience and strong knowledge of using integrated marketing disciplines to create multichannel or omnichannel campaigns including:
