Boeing Learning and Development (L&D) is looking for a Senior Employee Development Specialist – Learning Portfolio Management to help manage the course portfolio in the Engineering and Corporate learning spaces.  We are seeking a highly experienced Employee Development Specialist with a strong background managing data and driving successful outcomes. This position can be located in Seattle, WA; Charleston, SC; Berkeley, MO; or Hazelwood, MO.

The ideal candidate should be able to work in a complex and fast-paced environment and has strong training development, program management and communication skills. This Portfolio Manager will be responsible and accountable for overseeing the product lifecycle for the 5000+ trainings that reside in the Engineering and Corporate Learning spaces.  This leader will partner with the business to develop and communicate an L&D portfolio strategy that aligns with business objectives, identifies trends and opportunities for growth, and creates measurement, metrics and performance tools to drive portfolio insight.

Successful candidates are collaborators with the ability to translate raw data into executive format. The role demands excellent verbal and written communication skills, data management skills, strong presentation skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Defines project scope and recommends deliverables, budget and resources
  • Oversees curriculum development, review of course content and instructional materials, testing and system access requirements
  • Identifies business specific learning objectives and adapts curriculum content and delivery methods
  • Performs as a lead instructor in a specialized content area
  • Deploys development tools and monitors implementation
  • Identifies potential issues that impact performance and leads the performance analysis and development of improvement recommendations

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience communicating with and presenting to senior and executive leadership
  • 3+ years of experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • 3+ years of experience with Data/Visual analytics tools including but not limited to: Excel, Tableau, Power BI, etc.
  • Experience with Project Portfolio Management Tools including but not limited to: JIRA, Azure Dev Ops (ADO)), MS Project, Clarity PPM, etc.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Experience with SharePoint, Confluence, Tableau, Power BI, and dashboard reporting
  • Ability to effectively partner with Business Stakeholders and Executive Management
  • Experience with automation and AI in PMO functions
  • Programming experience with (Python, R, MATLAB) for quantitative analysis

Summary pay range: $96,900 - $131,100
