Your Role

As an Embedded Software Developer you work on the development of the software which is controlling the high voltage batteries in multiple different customer vehicles. You are part of an expert team of system, hard- and software engineers on battery management systems which are among the world-leading ones regarding safety, features and costs. 


Your future tasks at a glance

  • Development of complex state machines to ensure the functionality of the HV battery
  • Development of complex drivers and modules for wired or wireless real time data transfer
  • Management of crypto modules and secure communication
  • Bootloader development
  • complex analog & digital signal processing and data transfer (CAN, LIN, SPI, ethernet)
  • Integrate the software on OS level and ensure its real time capability in multiple different frameworks (bare metal, vector/Autosar, micrium OS, PXROS)
  • Work on the low-level drivers that controls the microcontroller and its peripherals
  • Ensure & improve the functionality of the battery management algorithms on system level
  • Ensure the software development follows the necessary automotive safety standards (e.g., ISO26262)
  • Design the software architecture regarding integration, validation and mass production
  • Integrate the software in our CI/CD tool landscape
  • Cover all requirements with necessary testcases
  • Bring-up the different customer batteries and vehicles 

What you bring with you

  • Successfully completed university degree in an engineering field
  • Ideally more than 3 years of working experience in software engineering (in C/C++)
  • Knowledge in the field of microcontrollers and applicable tools
  • Highly motivated, willing to take responsibility and ownership of a project
  • Creativity, curiosity and enthusiasm for innovative electronics solutions for electric vehicles
  • Preference for working in teams and strong communication skills (English; German favorable)
