Department OverviewTETRA Hardware Engineering
Job Description
Designs computer technology, instrumentation, communications devices, semiconductor devices, solid state devices and other electronic systems using an understanding of circuit theory and electrical or electronic engineering.
Designs test systems for components and devices designed using electronic engineering techniques
Collaborates with line engineers in other disciplines either on product design or manufacturing of electronic components.

Basic Requirements
Technical Competencies
Strong R&D background in RF passive designs and components (Tx, Rx, FGU, VCO) complying with stringent industry specifications.
Verification: Advanced debugging skills using simulation test-benches, hardware emulation, and lab diagnostic equipment.
Methodologies: Familiarity with Scrum, Agile, or SAFe development frameworks. Knowledge of DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) and 6-sigma methodologies is a significant advantage.
Ability to drive projects independently while remaining deeply team-focused.
Strong oral and written communication skills for technical documentation and cross-departmental alignment.
A self-motivated mindset with a proactive desire to explore emerging technologies and novel engineering approaches.

Skills Required
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Electrical (RF), Electronics, Telecommunications, or Communication Engineering
- 3-7 years direct experience in RF and communication hardware design
- Proficiency in Cadence for schematic capture and PCB layout
- Experience with simulation tools such as ADS or CST
