Tomorrow Lab is seeking a full-time permanent Level II or III Electrical Design Engineer to support their current tightknit design engineering team. Role Responsibilities:
The Electrical Design Engineer will design, develop, build and test electrical systems in order to produce prototypes for manufacturing for both Tomorrow Lab’s wide variety of clients and internal projects. The Electrical Design Engineer will primarily be a part of the firm’s EE department, however will also be responsible for working with and having awareness of other departments' workstreams within mechanical engineering, industrial design and supply chain.
The Electrical Design Engineer will work closely with Tomorrow Lab’s senior department engineers and senior leadership to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and scope.
The role will require great attention to detail, thorough documentation and frequent, consistent communication on task progress. Some examples of tasks assigned include, but are not limited to PCB design, PCB bring-up & troubleshooting, PCB reflow & soldering, EE to ME integration and testing with the corresponding documentation (analog, digital, RF, power). Above average communication skills are imperative, as it is critical for the individual in this role to deliver results based on process and documentation, and to always know where they are at in the duration of the task and scope of work at hand.
Role Qualifications & Requirements:
At least a BS or BE in Electrical Engineering or related Electronic Design field of study is preferred, but not required.
A minimum of 3-5 years related experience is required.
Experience in design, repair and analysis of electronic systems.
Hardware experience is a plus.
Proficiency in Eagle, Fusion, Arduino, Segger and STM32CubeIDE or equivalent.
Must be comfortable writing firmware in C and C++ programming languages.
Must be comfortable working on Mac and PC computers.
Technical writing skills are a plus.
Must be a self starter and able to work independently and on teams.
Must have excellent time management skills in order to prioritize deliverables and timelines.
Must be a clear communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Should strive for excellence, find innovative solutions, be detail oriented and have an analytical mindset.

At this time, all Engineering Staff must either be willing to relocate, or already reside in the NYC area.

Role Compensation & Benefits:

Salary range: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 depending on experience and skill set.
