Job Description
Responsible for design and development of highly sophisticated communications products for professional and mission critical markets. Specifically, the role is an Electrical HW engineer to develop RF sub-circuits to meet stringent Specifications. This includes RF development in areas of receivers, VCOs, and frequency mixers and generation circuit.
Familiar with integrating process between Hardware and Software team, in particular TETRA Gateway Timing Sequences during the period of product development.
Responsible to perform RF testing and validation plan, as well as generating the detail documentation for test, product failures and resolutions for design changes
Basic Requirements
Degree / Masters / Ph.D in Electrical (RF) / Electronics / Telecommunication / Communication Engineering
Minimum 5~7 yrs direct working experience in RF and communication hardware design
Must be team-focused and highly self-motivated with a desire to explore new approaches and technology
Strong R&D background in RF passive designs and components (Tx, Rx, FGU, VCO) complying with stringent industry specifications.
Preferably have good R&D background in RF passive designs and RF components, such as RF areas of Rx, FGU, VCO that comply to stringent Specification
Familiar with design CAD tools for schematic capture layout - Mentor Graphics/Cadance PCB Layout Tool will be added advantages and other EE software simulation tools such as ADS, CST etc
Attain good debug skills with simulation test-benches and hardware emulation as well as provide functional verification, and manufacturing support. Applicant must be able to use simulation test-benches and lab diagnostic equipment.
Experience with Scrum/Agile/SAFe development methodologies will be added advantages
Experience with DFSS and 6-sigma methodologies will be added advantages
Ability to drive projects independently while remaining deeply team-focused.
Strong oral and written communication skills for technical documentation and cross-departmental alignment.
A self-motivated mindset with a proactive desire to explore emerging technologies and novel engineering approaches.
