Torch Technologies is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide advisory and assistance services to our program office.
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:
Support the Avionics team in ensuring successful qualification of line replaceable units and flight sensor assemblies.
Review contractor designs, perform independent analysis, and provide recommendations to the government concerning the designs.
Responsible for reviewing contractor proposed test plans and ensuring they are adequately specific to test all the relevant requirements.
Observe testing as needed and will be required to review test results and ensure adequate analysis is contained in test reports.
Apply technical knowledge in support of failure analysis and be an active participant in any root cause/corrective action investigations with the electronic assemblies.
Review designs of circuits and drawings of electronic assemblies.
Support failure analysis and troubleshooting.
Review test plans to verify that all requirements will be met by the methodologies used.
Review test reports to ensure results vs plans are clearly documented.
Required Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship
Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, aerospace, or equivalent engineering discipline or equivalent is required.
At least 12 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering.
Possess a thorough understanding of engineering design process including requirements generation, design reviews, test planning and execution, and qualification testing.
Prior experience with microelectronics components, circuit card/electronic assembly design, test, and qualification processes.
Familiar with Military Standards and associated test methods related to electronics and system.
Also familiar with DoW Acquisition processes or project management professional principles.
Must have an active Secret DoW security clearance, must be eligible for a Top Secret DoW clearance; must maintain clearance requirement throughout employment tenure.
Preferred Skills:
Master’s degree in electrical, mechanical, aerospace, systems engineering or equivalent engineering discipline with 10 years' relevant experience preferred.
Current Top Secret clearance at hire is desired.
Knowledge of HEMP, TEMPEST, and EMI/EMC testing is valued, but not required.
