The Points Guy is seeking a dynamic and skilled editor to support our growing partnerships and sponsored content business. This editor will edit and create sponsored editorial content and related assets for The Points Guy. They should have a deep understanding of travel credit cards, loyalty programs, the travel industry and marketing and the ability to balance TPG’s voice with sponsors’ requests and campaign goals. 

The editor will also flex into assisting with the content creation process for the newsletter and trending editorial teams as site needs and availability permit. 

The person in this position must have great organizational skills, a can-do attitude, a strong work ethic and a willingness to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders in developing and delivering on sponsored packages. This includes a desire to use and learn from data, results and industry trends to continuously look for ways to improve and enhance processes and procedures for execution.

What You’ll Do:

  • Edit, assign and/or create engaging articles and related content with the guidance of TPG’s directors, editors and internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Coordinate with internal and external subject matter experts on partnerships and editorial content.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends in credit cards, rewards and travel.
  • Stay abreast of new and existing TPG content and its performance.
  • Consistently improve the quality of TPG’s sponsored editorial deliverables.
  • Be engaged in social media platforms, staying current with trends.
  • Review relevant performance data to inform future sponsorship deliverables.
  • Execute a partner’s vision as defined by a sponsorship agreement while maintaining TPG’s editorial voice and standards.

What We're Looking For:

  • You’re highly organized, creative and strategic.
  • You have experience working with writers and editors to create engaging content.
  • You have experience working with brands and on sponsored campaigns.
  • A marketing background is a plus.
  • You have experience creating and implementing marketing plans or editorial calendars.
  • Experience with a content management system is required.
  • You have experience with and understand how to use Google Analytics and other analytic tools to inform editorial decisions.
  • You are a flexible team player and know how to pivot when conditions warrant.
  • You’re a fantastic communicator and can collaborate easily across teams.
  • You love data and the insights it can provide.
  • 5+ years of editorial experience preferred.


  • Cash compensation range: $75,000 - $120,000*
    • NYC cash compensation range: $75,000 - $144,000
  • Note: actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
