Job Title: Senior EDA Developer

Minimum requirements:   Master’s with minimum 2-3 years or Bachelor’s with minimum 4-5 years in CS/Electrical/Electronics Engineering with proficiency in Java

Location: Bengaluru, India

Job Description:

As a part of Chip Package System Enablement (CPSE) organization at ADI, this developer will work on developing and testing of ADI’s internal tool for Wirebond Package Design used across ADI. As an individual contributor, the candidate is expected to possess the necessary programming skills to develop, support, enhance and test the EDA tool.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Implement new features to improve Wirebond Package Design flow.
  • Write high-quality, maintainable code following coding standards and best practices.
  • Build user-friendly GUIs to improve productivity and ease-of-use.
  • Enhance the application’s capabilities by integrating it with third-party EDA tools.
  • Design, develop and execute test plans.
  • Implement automated testing to ensure functionality and stability.
  • Perform manual testing where necessary, ensuring that the software meets specified requirements.
  • Review and guide other software developers in the team.
  • Identify, document & track bugs and collaborate with the EDA team to come up with efficient solutions.
  • Provide technical support for the tools developed by CPSE organization.
  • Contribute to user-facing as well as developer documentation.

Qualifications: 

  • Master’s with minimum 2-3 years or Bachelor’s with minimum 4-5 years in CS/Electrical/Electronics
  • Prior experience in developing large, object-oriented Java-based applications
  • Strong CS fundamentals.
  • Strong background in Object Oriented Programming.
  • Must be good at debugging existing codebase.
  • Experience working with GUI frameworks such as Java Swing.
  • Familiarity with IDE like IntelliJ.
  • Familiarity with SW project management tools like Maven.
  • Experience with SW revision control systems, issue tracking, and collaboration tools.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good to have:
    • Exposure to IC design/implementation technologies is a plus.
    • Knowledge of Virtuoso and Calibre is a plus.
