As a Senior Ecommerce Product Manager at Cabin, you will play a lead role in defining and executing product strategy for ecommerce clients in the digital product development space. You will serve as a trusted advisor to both internal teams and client stakeholders, driving product discovery and ensuring successful product delivery. In this senior role, you will not only contribute strategic insights but also take ownership of guiding the full product lifecycle, from ideation through to execution, ensuring alignment with business goals, user needs, and market opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Product Discovery: Drive comprehensive user research, competitor analysis, and market validation to uncover product opportunities and refine concepts, collaborating with clients to define product visions that align with business goals and customer needs.
  • Strategic Product Development: Develop and communicate clear product strategies and roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives, market trends, and technology, while balancing long-term vision with short-term execution.
  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary client contact, building trusted relationships, understanding business challenges, and translating them into actionable product strategies while managing expectations throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Backlog Management & Prioritization: Define, manage, and prioritize product backlogs in collaboration with development teams, ensuring focus on business value, user impact, and project constraints using data-driven insights.
  • Cross-functional Leadership: Coordinate and foster collaboration between client stakeholders, internal teams, and external partners to ensure alignment, clear communication, and timely execution.
  • Agile Leadership: Lead agile processes, including sprint planning and retrospectives, addressing roadblocks, and ensuring incremental, high-quality product delivery.
  • Product Delivery Oversight: Oversee the product delivery process, ensuring milestones are met, products are delivered on time and within scope, and adjustments are made based on feedback and performance data.
  • Mentorship & Thought Leadership: Mentor junior team members, provide guidance and feedback, and stay ahead of industry trends to bring fresh perspectives and best practices to both the team and clients.

Qualifications

  • Product Management Experience: Over 5 years of experience in product strategy and management within the ecommerce sector, with a focus on driving product discovery, development, and delivery in client-facing roles. Proven track record of managing and executing end-to-end product lifecycles for ecommerce solutions.
  • Ecommerce Platform Expertise: Strong familiarity with leading ecommerce platforms such as Shopify (for its ease of use and scalability for small to medium-sized businesses), Magento (known for flexibility and customization for larger businesses), BigCommerce (designed for growth-focused businesses with extensive integrations), and WooCommerce (a customizable and cost-effective solution for WordPress-based ecommerce sites).
  • Payment Gateway Knowledge: Familiarity with or experience in integrating and managing payment gateways such as Stripe (developer-friendly and widely used), PayPal (trusted by consumers for seamless integration), Square (offers smooth integration for both in-store and online payments), and Adyen (supports multiple currencies and payment methods for global transactions).
  • Leadership and Stakeholder Management: Strong leadership abilities with a focus on influencing stakeholders across all levels, both internal and external. Expertise in leading cross-functional teams, promoting collaboration, and ensuring alignment across business, technical, and design teams to deliver impactful ecommerce products.
