Summary

The Senior Director of Supply Chain is responsible for leading the strategic and operational direction of the Company's Supply Chain operations. This role oversees procurement, inventory planning, warehousing, logistics, supplier management, and supply chain optimization initiatives to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and scalable operations. The Senior Director partners closely with Supply Chain leadership, operations, and field support to align supply chain strategies with overall business objectives and drive continuous improvement across the organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Company's supply chain function, including procurement, sourcing, inventory management, logistics, and supplier performance.
  • Lead and develop Supply Chain Managers across multiple regions, ensuring alignment with company objectives and consistent support of field operations.
  • Partner with the VP of Supply Chain to develop and execute supply chain strategies that drive operational excellence, cost optimization, and business growth.
  • Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing initiatives, RFQs/RFPs, contract negotiations, vendor evaluations, and supplier relationship management.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and other business leaders to forecast demand, optimize inventory levels, and improve supply chain performance.
  • Utilize data analytics and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for cost savings, increased efficiency, improved service levels, and effective risk management.
  • Establish and monitor supply chain performance metrics, including supplier performance, inventory management, procurement savings, and procurement cycle times.
  • Lead continuous improvement and supply chain optimization initiatives that enhance efficiency, transparency, scalability, and overall business performance.
  • Develop and maintain strategic supplier partnerships that support operational requirements, business continuity, and long-term organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, succession planning, and professional development for supply chain management.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership regarding supply chain strategy, market trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, or related field required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Certified Professional in Supply Management, preferred  
  • Lean Six Sigma a plus

Work Experience

  • 10+ years of supply chain experience with proven progression of leadership roles
  • 5+ years’ experience in Natural Gas Compression (CAT, Waukesha, Ariel, etc.)
  • 5+ years of senior leadership experience managing managers and cross-functional teams

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
  • Extensive working knowledge of procurement, contracting, and inventory management practices

Physical Demands

  • Required to sit for long periods of time as needed
  • Up to 75% travel required
  • Must be able to work under pressure and occasional long or irregular hours as required
