WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

This role will report to the VP Jordan Global Footwear, Streetwear and have four direct reports within the Footwear Product Management Function. The critical peer relationships will span x-functionally across GM, Design, Product Creation, Merchandising, and Brand. You will collaborate closely with the entire footwear team, including AJ1/Retro and Kids’/Core footwear, as well as cross-functional partners, to develop line plans and execute future product strategies. Additionally, you will partner with the Consumer Insights team on a case-by-case basis to ensure alignment between insight gathering and its implementation into the product creation process.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate will need to have a global mindset and be a team-first leader for the Looks Of team. This critical role will drive product excellence, vision, strategy and execution. This person needs to have a proven ability to foresee, understand, analyze and effectively communicate on culture/cultural shifts, both macro and micro. Additionally, they should have the demonstrated ability to work across functional teams with clarity, an enterprise approach, and an eye for growth and serving the athlete* (or consumer) at an industry-leading level.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in product creation, merchandising or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
  • 10 years of directly relevant work experience in product creation, merchandising or brand marketing
  • An ability to translate consumer and marketplace insights into actionable strategies and plans
  • Strong leadership identity, positive energy and confident
  • Passion for lifestyle footwear, sneaker culture, and storytelling, demonstrating a deep understanding of the streetwear
  • Proven ability to capture consumer insights and translate them into compelling product solutions
  • Experience monitoring and understanding trends, and applying that understanding to your work
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 15% of the time

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

At JORDAN, we win as a team. As our Looks Of Senior Director, you will be responsible for leading the team and building our new assortment aimed at serving the needs of Jordan consumers and signaling the aesthetics that will attract the next generation of Jordan Brand enthusiasts. You will lead and drive team excellence and product excellence at all stages of the product creation process. You will be responsible for building a team culture centered on a one-team mentality as a cross-functional partner, product professional, and people leader. You will lead by example in every aspect of the job and work X-FOP, X-Gender, and X-Functionally inside and outside of Global Footwear to achieve business results related to driving newness in footwear, profitability, and MO/PO productivity. You will monitor progress against Jordan macro streetwear strategy and workload capacity to ensure product excellence is prioritized. You will be accountable for tracking business results and communicating to the broader team. You must understand portfolio management and demonstrate astute financial judgment in making key decisions. You'll also be responsible for creating and delivering impactful presentations during internal and external meetings on a regular cadence.

  • You will need to ensure that you are driving all areas of the creation process to meet key deliverables each season across a multitude of calendars and timelines
