We believe that great people build great communities.We are seeking a Senior Director of Social Services to provide executive leadership for YMCA social services, housing initiatives, and Allentown branch operations. This role oversees mission-driven programs serving individuals and families experiencing housing instability while ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, community engagement, and measurable outcomes.

- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Public Administration, Business, or a related field
- Leadership experience in social services, housing programs, community development, nonprofit management, or related fields
- Experience supervising professional staff and managing multi-faceted programs
- Experience overseeing budgets, operational performance, and regulatory compliance
- Knowledge of homelessness response systems, housing navigation, coordinated entry, supportive services, and community resources preferred
- Experience with HMIS, data reporting, outcome measurement, or similar case management systems preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database systems
- CPR, First Aid, and required YMCA certifications or ability to obtain
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for YMCA social service and housing initiatives, including the Allentown Warming Station and Bethlehem Housing programs
- Ensure safe, effective, and compliant program operations that deliver measurable community impact
- Oversee housing navigation, coordinated entry, supportive services, and community resource connections
- Ensure accurate program documentation, HMIS reporting, data integrity, and compliance with funding and regulatory requirements
- Build and maintain partnerships with Continuum of Care organizations, behavioral health providers, housing agencies, employers, and community stakeholders
- Develop program goals, performance measures, and outcome reporting aligned with community needs and YMCA strategic priorities
- Lead, develop, and supervise assigned staff and volunteers, including hiring, training, performance management, and succession planning
- Oversee branch operations to ensure a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained facility environment
- Support membership retention, community engagement, and mission-driven service delivery
- Collaborate with executive leadership on annual operating and capital budgets
- Ensure compliance with YMCA policies, risk management standards, financial controls, and human resource practices
- Represent the YMCA in community partnerships, coalitions, public forums, and stakeholder meetings
- Support fundraising, grant, and community engagement efforts that advance YMCA social impact initiatives
