Job Description:  

The Quality Assurance Practice Leader oversees and strategically manages the Quality Assurance (QA) organization, defining, developing, and implementing robust quality practices and standards across various software suites and testing platforms. This role involves strategic leadership, comprehensive oversight of Manual and Automation Testing frameworks, Performance Testing, and alignment with industry-leading methodologies and best practices.  

Job Duties: 

  • Lead and strategically manage the Quality Assurance Center of Excellence (CoE), establishing comprehensive QA standards across multiple software suites. 
  • Develop and implement strategic vision, goals, and roadmaps for Manual Testing, Automation Testing Frameworks, and Performance Testing practices. 
  • Drive governance and consistency across QA teams, ensuring standardized processes, best practices, and integration between testing disciplines. 
  • Ensure effective adoption and continuous improvement of Automation Frameworks to enhance QA efficiency and effectiveness. 
  • Provide strategic oversight to guarantee adherence to quality standards, emphasizing prior experience in regulatory and compliance standards across multi-platform environments. 
  • Collaborate closely with business and technical stakeholders to align QA strategies with organizational goals and objectives. 
  • Oversee risk management strategies, proactively identifying risks and establishing effective mitigation approaches across QA processes. 
  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives using quality metrics, analytics, and performance monitoring tools. 
  • Foster a collaborative culture by galvanizing cross-functional teams, promoting knowledge sharing, and implementing professional development initiatives. 
  • Direct and manage the QA organization's budgetary planning, resource allocation, forecasting, and financial governance. 
  • Ensure readiness and manage execution of customer audits and regulatory inspections, facilitating timely and effective corrective actions. 
  • Interface regularly with executive leadership, providing strategic insights, reporting QA progress, and communicating effectively on quality assurance initiatives. 
  • Champion innovation and lead the assessment and implementation of new QA technologies, platforms, and methodologies. 
  • Set measurable performance and quality benchmarks, ensuring accountability across teams. 
  • Develop comprehensive QA documentation and standards to guide consistent, high-quality delivery across all testing activities. 

Required Qualifications: 

  •  Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline. 
  •  Minimum 15+ years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance with at least 6+ years in a senior leadership role managing large-scale global QA teams. 
  •  Demonstrated experience defining and managing strategic quality assurance frameworks across multiple software suites and platforms. 
  •  Extensive prior experience with regulatory, compliance, and multi-platform software testing environments. 
  •  Strong expertise in Automation Frameworks, performance testing, and agile methodologies. 
  •  Proven leadership and people-management capabilities, including mentoring, performance management, and professional development. 
  •  Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills, with demonstrated experience in risk management and quality improvement initiatives. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Advanced degree (master's or higher) in a relevant technical or business discipline. 
  • Prior experience in Life Sciences, Health Care, Clinical, or Regulatory technology domains. 
  • Certification in Quality Assurance (e.g., ISTQB, ASQ) or recognized industry qualification. 
  • Experience leading large-scale transformation or modernization initiatives within QA or Testing Center of Excellence. 
  • Strong knowledge of modern software development practices, including DevOps, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), cloud technologies, and Agile frameworks. 
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with proven success in stakeholder management at executive and board levels.
