The Senior Director will partner closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and operations to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer needs and drive business growth.

This is a high-impact leadership role requiring deep product expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to inspire cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, global environment. The ideal candidate brings broad knowledge across the complete payments solution stack and a proven track record of delivering complex, enterprise-scale initiatives across EMEA markets.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute product strategy aligned with Verifone's vision and business objectives.
  • Lead portfolio management across multiple product lines, ensuring market relevance and profitability.
  • Define product roadmaps and prioritize initiatives based on customer needs, market trends, and business goals.
  • Apply deep knowledge across the complete solution stack — including hardware/payment devices, payment applications, gateways, acquiring processing, and acquiring services — to inform strategic product direction.

Market & Customer Focus

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats across EMEA and global markets.
  • Champion the voice of the customer by integrating feedback into product development.
  • Drive innovation to deliver differentiated solutions in payments and commerce technology.
  • Understand complex enterprise client needs and drive product and solution adoption by developing tailored solution proposals — including contributions to large, complex RFP submissions across EMEA.

Execution & Delivery

  • Oversee the product development lifecycle from concept through launch and post-release optimization.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and UX teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products that meet performance, compliance, and security standards.
  • Provide technical leadership in the delivery of complex, large-scale projects within the payments industry, maintaining accountability for scope, quality, and outcomes.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Act as the bridge between client, sales, product, engineering, and customer success teams to deliver integrated, scalable, and comprehensive client-centric solutions.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to align product strategy with go-to-market execution.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on product direction and investment decisions.
  • Support integration activities impacting product portfolios.

Technology & Process Improvement

  • Leverage data and analytics to drive product decisions and measure success.
  • Implement best practices for product management processes, tools, and governance.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across product teams.
Skills and Experience Needed
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive product management experience, including at least 7 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven success in managing complex product portfolios in technology or fintech industries.
  • Strong knowledge of payments, commerce platforms, and emerging technologies — with hands-on familiarity across the full solution stack including hardware/payment devices, payment apps, gateways, acquiring processing, and acquiring services.
  • Demonstrated experience developing tailored solution proposals and contributing to complex RFP submissions for enterprise clients across EMEA.
  • Proven ability to serve as the connective bridge between client-facing, technical, and commercial teams to deliver integrated, enterprise-scale solutions.
  • Technical leadership experience with a track record of delivering large, complex projects within the payments industry.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience leading global teams and driving cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficiency with product management tools, ERP systems, and analytics platforms.
