The Senior Director of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing the company’s comprehensive marketing strategies to support business objectives across the customer lifecycle. This includes overseeing marketing campaigns, brand development, digital marketing, market research, and customer insights, and customer loyalty across a complex software product portfolio. The Senior Director will lead a team of marketing professionals, collaborate across departments, and ensure the marketing function contributes effectively to the organization’s success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement B2B marketing strategies aligned with company goals and growth objectives globally across a software product portfolio.
- Conduct ongoing market research to identify customer needs, competitive landscape, and emerging trends to inform strategic decision-making, value propositions and positioning.
- Lead the creation and execution of integrated marketing plans across multiple channels based on customer needs, pain points, and behaviors to inform marketing strategies and campaigns (digital, traditional, events, etc.).
- Lead the creation and execution of a comprehensive sales collateral and tools strategy (e.g., brochures, case studies, presentations, white papers, product sheets, email templates, etc.) that supports the sales team in achieving their revenue targets.
- Drive Cayuse’s go-to-market strategies and creates a differentiated value proposition that aligns with customer goals, verticals, and global regions.
- Lead the team to provide expertise when identifying and directing marketing strategies across the customer journey including: customer acquisition, adoption, customer loyalty, advocacy, and renewal of a product and/or solution.
- Implements KPIs and uses data to drive decision-making processes to measure campaign performance, and optimize marketing efforts (e.g., using tools like Google Analytics, CRM platforms, and marketing automation tools).
- Identify and test new channels that can be used to meet demand generation metrics.
- Develop and manage the marketing department’s budget including: monitor and track marketing expenses, and ensure cost-efficiency to maximize ROI.
- Promote an inclusive work environment by valuing employee differences and contributions, providing opportunities for employees to be heard, and ensuring decisions that affect the team are transparent and equitable.
- Hiring, training, coaching, and mentoring top talent.
- Establish employee performance goals, provide regular feedback and formal performance evaluations, develop and reward talent.
- Motivate and inspire employees to higher levels of engagement, productivity, and personal achievement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. An MBA or other relevant advanced degree is preferred or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 12+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of developing and executing data driven successful marketing strategies.
- Strong leader with proven track record of leading marketing organizations and building a demand generation engine across a complex product portfolio.
- Strong experience in digital marketing, brand management, and campaign execution.
- Experience managing and mentoring a team of marketing professionals.
